Saturday we left the Airstream in Green River UT and headed to Aspen CO for my retirement celebration. We arrived about lunchtime at the Hotel Jerome. We checked in and had a fabulous lunch at J Bar. We later walked around the town of Aspen and had dinner at Wild Fig. Sunday morning we rode the gondola to the top of Aspen Mountain. The views were incredible!
We then drove up to Independence Pass. Just barely out of town, Carol spotted 5 Moose just off the road; 4 were lying down and one was standing. It was amazing to see!
We arrived back at the Airstream about 6pm. Today we are getting ready to hit the road tomorrow; groceries, LP gas, etc. We will be heading to Capitol Reef National Park area for the next 4 days.
