Hell Hole Canyon Hike

Since we are back in Virginia, I am filling in with some sights/activities from the last 6 months!  We took a hike in Hell Hole Canyon on 1/22/21.  The hike is in the Anzo-Borrego Desert State Park just a mile or two from the center of Borrego Springs.  The hike will take you to a waterfall in the rainy season, but it was reported that there was no water.  We always hike with more than enough water, but as you will see in the pictures, some don’t!!!  Not sure if this is real or just a warning!PS...Packing to move is…

Paria, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument

In October while in the Lake Powell Area we explored the Paria (pronounced like Maria) River Road looking for the Paria Ghost Town located in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument.  We never found the “Ghost Town” that was abandoned in 1929.  We were so surprised by the colors along this dirt road...they ranged from muted tan to vibrant orange and reds arranged in beautiful layers.  The area kept our interest for many hours!   https://youtu.be/rTCBm8w7FuA
