Merry Christmas to All!  We are enjoying Christmas in Borrego Springs, CA!  We made a short video of the Elves escapades for 2021!  They were very busy and sure kept us on our toes this year!Enjoy and again, Merry Christmas!!Update:We will be in Borrego Springs on and off until March 14th!  We are taking some trips to Death Valley and Mojave.  No video tomorrow but we will be doing the “Year in Review” video next Sunday….not to be missed!  https://youtu.be/Zf_OLauOLZ8

A day at a Wind Farm!

While in Palm Springs we did a self driving tour at Palm Springs Windmill Tours. The tour starts at the Tour Center with exhibits and a video that showcase the history of the first Southern California wind farm established in 1982. After you explore the exhibits, you are on your way to see 10 marked stops with curated audio and an app! Also included are two stops close to active Wind Turbines that reach over 400 feet tall! A day at the Living Desert Zoo!

One of our favorite days so far in the Palm Springs area was at the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens in Palm Desert.  This zoo and gardens specializes in the deserts of the world!  The zoo features the African Savanna to the Wild Americas to Australian Adventures and there are over 500 animals!  This venue has been named number six on Condé Nast Traveler’s list of 10 Best Zoos in the US.  This was the best zoo we have been to!  We were so lucky, the temperatures were about 70 degrees with bright sunshine! Palm Canyon, Victor Loop Trail

Indian Canyons is a canyon just outside of Palm Springs, CA.  Indian Canyons is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the world’s largest California Fan Palm Oasis!  Indian Canyons is home to the Agua Caliente Indians, specifically the Band of Cahuilla. The drive to the parking lot from the entrance is about 5 miles and there you will find a small trading post.  The trail starts just below the trading post.  One of the welcome signs alerts the hikers of the “rattlesnake habitat”!  We did not see any rattlesnakes….The hike is about 3 miles with the 1st…
