Three Days in San Deigo!

We left Temecula and headed South about an hour to San Deigo.  Some of the advertised “must sees” were bypassed so we could cover more areas. Our first stop was Coronado Island. We had intentions of riding the eBikes but the weather just didn’t cooperate! Three Days in Temecula, CA!

Earlier this week we departed Borrego Springs and headed to Temecula, CA.  We were going to Temecula for an Airstream and F250 routine service appointments.  This area turned out to be a real treat!  Temecula is just over an hour South of LA and is home to over 40 wineries.  During our stay we visited four vineyard/wineries.  Our favorite was Leoness because of the beautiful setting, delicious food and of course tasty wine.  Our server was also very attentive and participated in this video!  We highly recommend Temecula as a destination! For years we have been searching for an owl sighting…

3 Days at Joshua Tree National Park

We took a side trip without the Airstream to Joshua Tree National Park!  Two distinct desert ecosystems, the Mojave and the Colorado, come together in Joshua Tree National Park.  The Joshua Tree is a member of the Agave family. Native Americans loved them, the tough leaves were worked into baskets, sandals and the flower buds  (raw or roasted) seeds made a healthy addition to the diet. Our first night in our tent was a challenge for a few reasons:Air mattresses were blown up too hard.We were chilly but could handled it.The tent was on an incline! All of the above was remedied…
