Yesterday we hiked one of the iconic hikes in Sedona, Courthouse Butte Loop Trail. The trail loops around Courthouse Butte and Bell Rock. Bell Rock is known as a powerful metaphysical “vortex” in Sedona…Sedona is known for it’s healing and special properties to create wellbeing.
The trail was 4 miles, with some ups and downs equaling about 400’ elevation gain but it felt very level. Most of the hike the weather was overcast but with the sun breaking through occasionally. Even without the sun the colors experienced on this hike were exceptional. We hope to go on more of these beautiful hikes in the Sedona area.
Keep on trekking , looks like fun, you don’t see this in Virginia hiking about…..amazing flora (cactus) in the pics, have no idea what type they are but they are neat..those rock formations are pretty awesome, wonder how long it took for them to get to those shapes. looks like you are having fun” enjoy..
We enjoy looking at everything on our hikes. Hard to capture it all in pictures.
Looks very deserted there.
It really wasn’t, near Bell Rock there are a lot of people!
Wow! Stunning photographs!
Thanks! It’s going to be hard to leave this area.
