We spent an overnight near this wildlife refuge. The Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge is located in southern New Mexico. It was founded in 1939 and is administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. It is a favorite spot to watch the migration of the Sandhill Cranes in the fall. Although we were not there to witness the Sandhill Crane migration we did see a variety of wildlife!
We saw a plethora of Turkeys, Javelina, many types of Ducks, Blue Heron and Cranes. Up to this point we had only seen Javelinas in captivity…so this was amazing to see them in the wild.
Enjoy our video!

Some great wildlife shots. Loved Tom Turkey close up and the little ducks with the wake behind them. Those Javelinas are really cool. Thanks for sharing!
It was a beautiful area tucked into the desert! We are trying to go to places that normally we may pass up because we are in a hurry to next destination. Traveling like this allows that flexibility!
Hello, I’m a friend of Linda’s and she shared this video with me. I am so impressed with the photography. Some incredible shots and colors. Although I don’t call myself, a photographer, I like taking photos and dabbling in colored pencils and acrylics. I’ve also seen some of your drawings and watercolors. You are both very talented!
Nature, hiking and experimenting with new foods are among my favorite activities! Linda thinks I should be joining you girls, 😂
The only State Park I’ve been to is Yellowstone. I went on a week long hiking trip with a company called Backroads. It was one of the most exciting, memorable experiences of my life!
I hope to visit more in the future!
Enjoy your time in these amazing places!
