Flaming Gorge Overnight

Every now and then we find a remote area that may be best explored without the Airstream.  This week we took an overnight side trip to Flaming Gorge on the Wyoming, Utah border.  From Heber City we drove West on I-80.  Our campground was on the Southwest side of Lake Flaming Gorge.

Several Antelope meandered through the campground, amazing!  Once set up we toured and explored to find Red Canyon and Flaming Gorge Dam.  This area is known for spectacular trout fishing…we were not prepared, I left all the fly fishing equipment at the Airstream; really dumb move.

We returned to the campground for a campfire and delicious dinner prepared by Chef Carol (you must watch the video for the full description)!

Early next morning while enjoying our coffee by the bay, Carol spotted something in the water (again, see video)!

Flaming Gorge is a beautiful area with lots to do, hiking, fishing, boating and much more.  We recommend this area for any outdoor enthusiast!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! 🎆🇺🇸
