The wait is over! Atom & Susan arrived Thursday afternoon!
It is so nice to have our friends with us for a portion of this journey. We are in Estes Park and have had a delightful few days. We explored Boulder, toured and hiked in the national park and enjoyed a wine tasting yesterday afternoon.
We have encountered a variety of weather, yesterday after visiting the Alpine Visitor Center (approx. 12,000 feet of elevation) there was sleet and hail and the temps dropped to 48.
We have a little compound at our campground!
Today, we are exploring the town of Estes Park and maybe cocktails at the Stanley Hotel (the inspiration for the movie, The Shinning).
Tomorrow we are heading to Grand Lake, CO to check out the west side of the National Park.

Met my family for a week in Estes Park almost a year ago and we got lucky – no smoke until the day we were leaving. So much beauty there.
