Back on the Road!!!

We are back on the road after a grueling few weeks of boiling down your stationary world into a rolling world!  But, that is behind us, now the real journey is beginning.  We are now in NJ, dropping the Airstream off for a week of pampering and some minor warranty items.  While Airstream is being pampered, we are traveling to the Buffalo area for a family visit.  Let the adventures begin!!!! Hell Hole Canyon Hike

Since we are back in Virginia, I am filling in with some sights/activities from the last 6 months!  We took a hike in Hell Hole Canyon on 1/22/21.  The hike is in the Anzo-Borrego Desert State Park just a mile or two from the center of Borrego Springs.  The hike will take you to a waterfall in the rainy season, but it was reported that there was no water.  We always hike with more than enough water, but as you will see in the pictures, some don’t!!!  Not sure if this is real or just a warning!PS...Packing to move is…

Eagle!

Well, even in downtown Richmond wildlife can be found!Over the past 13 years we have marveled over the Eagles that are on the James River.  Last summer Dominion Power had a helicopter, dropping workers onto the power tower and they installed the brass (I think brass) spikes to keep the birds off the towers!  Well, Dominion is not as smart as the Eagles; they still land in the middle! 🤣Moving/Sale update:Packing has started and the condo looks like a war zone!   Movers come on the 3rd!  Good thing, buyer has purchased all furniture!  All we need to move are…

Preparation for new Airstream 25’

While in Richmond to complete the sale of the Condo, we bought the new truck so we are all set when the 25’ Airstream arrives!  We purchased a Ford F-250 Lariat!  We loved the Tundra, hated letting it go, but we have learned a lot about towing, weight capacities, etc. over the last 6 months.  Not to bore you with the details, the Tundra was tapped out with our current 20’ Airstream.  There is a distinct difference between “payload” and “towing capacity”. The Tundra was fine for towing capacity, but we were right at the upper limits for payload.  So,…
