3 Days at Joshua Tree National Park

We took a side trip without the Airstream to Joshua Tree National Park!  Two distinct desert ecosystems, the Mojave and the Colorado, come together in Joshua Tree National Park.  The Joshua Tree is a member of the Agave family. Native Americans loved them, the tough leaves were worked into baskets, sandals and the flower buds  (raw or roasted) seeds made a healthy addition to the diet.

Our first night in our tent was a challenge for a few reasons:

  1. Air mattresses were blown up too hard.
  2. We were chilly but could handled it.
  3. The tent was on an incline!

All of the above was remedied for the 2nd night!  We toured the parks highlights and enjoyed a star show like no other!  Joshua Tree National Park is not to be missed!

Enjoy the Video!

Travel Update:

Our time in Borrego Springs will soon be coming to an end and we will miss our desert oasis.  We are looking forward to next adventure on the road!

Loved the speed tent pitch! Made it look
so easy. Recognized the coffee maker too, they are so handy. Rock formations, starry skies, and views are beautiful. Recognized some of the sites from our trip in early 2020. Of course, always love the hats!!
