We left Temecula and headed South about an hour to San Deigo. Some of the advertised “must sees” were bypassed so we could cover more areas.
Our first stop was Coronado Island. We had intentions of riding the eBikes but the weather just didn’t cooperate! The island provided excellent views of the San Deigo skyline and we enjoyed exploring on foot.
Our next stop was La Jolla, just north of the downtown area. This community is one of the prettiest coastal towns I have been to. The oceanfront is beautiful with tons of marine life. We also enjoyed the best tacos ever at Puesto and also had a delightful breakfast at The Cottage.
Heading a bit North we hiked in Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve to Razor Point. This area provides stunning coastal views from high bluffs! On our drive back from Torrey Pines Reserve we saw Torrey Pines Gliderport! We had to check it out…we were amazed that hang gliders and paragliders were flying in the 20 mph winds! The precision of the pilots was a sight to see! San Diego did not disappoint! We hope to return so Carol can go paragliding!
Enjoy the Video!
