After San Diego we headed North to Malibu Beach. We read about an RV park that overlooked the Pacific and made reservations months ago. Our site was right on a bluff that had sweeping views of the ocean…we could hear the pounding surf all day and night!
Our first adventure was the Ciscos Whale Watch…we left from Oxnard…we had the potential to see humpback whales and migrating gray whales…we saw two water spouts far in the distance but did not see the actual whales. 🙁 I am not going to give away the spectacular gift we saw on our cruise…you have to watch the video! 😉 Our original intention was to take the ferry to Santa Cruz Island and tent camp…but the temperatures we just too cold for us to deal with….(especially after being so cold in Joshua Tree)!
Next up, the Santa Barbara Oceanfront…we walked the beach and had a really nice lunch at Chads across from the beach. The wind was fierce but we walked to the end of the pier to see if any of the fishermen were successful….no luck there! We visited the Getty Villa Museum and it was a real treat. The gardens and grounds were a beautiful site as well as very special Greek and Roman Antiquities! This museum was a dream of J. Paul Getty.

Travel Update:
Next stop Morro Bay, California! After Morro Bay, we have one more stop near Monterey, Big Sur and Pinnacles National Park. We then head east to Yosemite!
