Custer State Park! Wow!

We spent a week exploring Custer State Park! This state park seemed more like a national park than a state park with majestic pastures, lakes and crazy rock formations.

Our first outing we drove the wildlife loop and we hit the jackpot! The Custer Buffalo Herd were putting on a spectacular show! We watched these beautiful beasts for a long time, then continued on the loop to see prong horns, turkey and prairie dogs.

Next, we drove the Needles Road to the Neddles Eye Tunnel to experience squeezing our monster truck through the tiny tunnel! We witnessed a tour bus go through the tunnel, having to back up a couple times…we are sure the bus scraped the walls a few times!

There’s so much more to experience, check the out the video for more!

Next week, more from our travels in South Dakota!

That tunnel would have freaked me out. No way would I have attempted to drive your rig through there
