24 Hours in Savannah GA!

We left the Airstream behind and headed to Savannah GA! We stayed on the River at the Cotton Sail Hotel (Hilton). Our hotel overlooked the river and historic River Street.  The traffic on the river was amazing from old time paddle boats to huge commercial container ships!

Our first outing, dinner at The Old Pink House….so delicious. We ate in the downstairs tavern. This restaurant was built in 1789 and in the 1800’s became a bank; there is a private dining room that once was a vault for gold bricks.  We highly recommend this restaurant.

Next we took the Old Town Trolley Holiday Sights Tour. The trolley was fun with Christmas Carols sung by all!  During this tour we made a quick stop at the Davenport House for a tour…

In the morning we set out on foot and then used the Hop on and Hop off trolley to see the city. Our favorite shop, The Paris Market, a design concept experience rather than just a store! It is a shop of intriguing and unforgettable treasures.

Enjoy the video!

Travel Update:

We are spending Christmas in the Hilton Head area then moving on to St. Augustine, FL!  January 1st we head to Juno Beach where we will have our home base while continuing  our adventures in Florida until the end of March!

Loved seeing Savannah all dressed up for Christmas! Seems like so much of Savannah is haunted, it was a spectacular setting for the book “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”. Your video has made me want to visit again. Thanks!
