*This video was filmed in mid-August. After two weeks in Banff, we moved to our next destination in the Canadian Rockies, Lake Louise. The drive from Banff was stunning, with sweeping views of the bow river and glacial mountains. We spent a week in Lake Louise at Lake Louise Hard Sided Campground in Banff National Park. During our stay we explored Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Takakkaw Falls (in Yoho National Park) and Natural Bridge. We also continued to enjoy the wildlife of the area! Enjoy the video! We show you the town, farmers market, the bow river/falls and several lakes! Also the town is home to the Banff Springs Fairmont Hotel, a really special place. This video we take you on an off road journey on the Smith Dorrien Trail also known as Highway 742 outside of Canmore, Alberta, Canada.This rural drive is remote and has some spectacular scenery! We spent time at Spray Lake saw big horn sheep, a bear and an eagle! We had read about Mount Engadine Lodge and were determined to find it.What a treat….If ever in this area, Mount Engadine Lodge is a remote getaway in the Canadian Rockies. August 22nd was our 2 year anniversary! Yes, 2 years on the road…we can’t believe it! Today’s video we take the Banff Sunshine Gondola to hike Sunshine Meadows and see 3 alpine lakes! This was one of our favorite hikes with the views and mountain flowers.
