In this video we show you our journey across the Yukon Territory from Watson Lake to the Alaska Border!
Our first stop the unique Sign Post Forest in Watson Lake along the Alaska Highway. This forest is made up of signs from travelers for over 80 years and now has over 100.000 individual signs! We hung our sign and also found two of our favorite creators…KYD and The Adventures of A&K!
Next, along the Alaska Highway we head to the capital of the Yukon, Whitehorse with a side trip to Emerald Lake and Carcross Desert….Yikes a desert in the Yukon?
After a muddy and bumpy ride from Whitehorse to Dawson City on the Klondike Highway we settled into some serious gold mining history. Dawson City was the epicenter of the Klondike Gold Rush in the late 1800s. Through Parks Canada we took two tours, a Walking Tour of the town and Dredge #4! Both tours were amazing and fun.
Our final leg of this trek, Dawson City across the Yukon River on a tiny ferry to Top of the World Highway….to the Alaska Border at Poker Creek, Alaska the most northern crossing in the United States.
This was an amazing roadtrip…and we know you will enjoy it!
Enjoy the video!
