In this video we travel around the Salton Sea!
We explore its past, present and Future. The Salton Sea is the largest lake in California, created by accident and was once a playground for people in Southern California. Once dubbed the Riviera of the Salton Sea!
In the 1970’s scientists started raising red flags, with warnings, the lake was shrinking due to evaporation, agriculture runoff and alarming levels of salinity were making the Salton Sea an inhospitable place. As the sea continued to shrink, health concerns rose to an alarming level. As the lakebed became exposed, clouds of toxic dust appeared, at times reaching 130 mile to LA!
