Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada: Stunning hikes and we saw Rattlesnakes!

In this video we explore one of the most beautiful and oldest State Parks in Nevada, Valley of Fire. Valley of Fire is located about 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas in the Mojave Desert.The drive through Valley of Fire is gorgeous. The state park derives its name from the 46,000 acres of red Aztec Sandstone that glows red for miles into the horizon and appears to be on fire when reflecting the sun’s rays. Cedar Breaks National Monument, Brian’s Head and a bit of Disc Golf!

In this video we are in South Western Utah and visit Cedar Breaks National Monument, Brian’s Head (an 11,000’ summit) and play a very special disc golf course!We start in Cedar Breaks National Monument.  Cedar Breaks is a spectacular natural area known for its striking red rock amphitheater which spans about 3 miles across and dips over 2,000’.  It is often described as a “mini Bryce Canyon”. This monument is located at an elevation of over 10,000’. We really enjoyed the fall colors including the whimsical Aspens!We then stumbled onto Brian’s Head overlook at 11,307’!  What a treat and the views…

The Amazing Tuzigoot Ruins, Clarkdale, AZ!

In this short video we show the ruins of Tuzigoot. The people who built and lived in the rooms of the Tuzigoot pueblo were part of a thriving community with trade connections stretching hundreds of miles. Their lives were part of a vast and complex society, and they had a deep and nuanced understanding of the world around them.The pueblo at Tuzigoot consists of over a hundred rooms, and was probably home to several hundred people for several hundred years.
