A Week in Death Valley National Park

Part One of Death Valley!

We spent an adventure filled week in Death Valley!  Death Valley National Park is the largest national park in the lower 48.  Who knew there was so much to do and see!  Death Valley is so diverse with snow capped mountains, desert dunes, painted landscapes, waterfalls and many canyons! The first two days we had high winds with gusts up to 50 mph!  Due to the wind, we could barely see the mountains from the sand in the air!

We will be featuring Death Valley over the next couple of videos!  Today we are showing the following must see locations:

  • Artist’s Drive
  • Badwater Basin
  • 20 Mule Team Canyon
  • Salt Creek Trail
  • Zabriske Point

Another fact about Death Valley…it may have the most expensive gas in the county!  ($7.64 for diesel.). We drove 30 miles to Nevada for gas and it was $3.79!

Enjoy the video!

Travel Update:

We are back in Borrego Springs until March 14th; we will then be starting our slow roll up the California Coast. Starting in San Diego then moving up to Malibu and Big Sur.  Don’t despair, we still have several things to see in Borrego Springs before we leave!

Why is gas so expensive in Death Valley? Are they trying to kill you? Maybe that’s where Death Valley got its name????
