In this video we explore Denali National Park! We spent 4 days at Riley Campground inside the park, hiked the Savage River Trail, took a park tour of the fascinating dog sled rangers and went on a 5 hour Narrated Tundra Wilderness Tour with the park. We are officially in the 30% club of people that have seen the peak of Denali (formally known as Mt. McKinley). Denali’s highest peak is at 20,310’ and is in the clouds most of the time!
We then moved on to the town of charming Talkeetna where most of the Denali “climbers” start their trek. This town is where the climbers must get their permits and schedule their flights to basecamp at 7,600’. We were lucky enough to have a bright sunny day to take a flight with K2 Aviation to see this magnificent summit.
This was an epic adventure, one that is etched into our memory forever! Enjoy the video!
