Indian Canyons is a canyon just outside of Palm Springs, CA. Indian Canyons is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the world’s largest California Fan Palm Oasis! Indian Canyons is home to the Agua Caliente Indians, specifically the Band of Cahuilla. The drive to the parking lot from the entrance is about 5 miles and there you will find a small trading post. Since we left Richmond August of 2020, we have been to Monument Valley or close to it several times. The tribal park has been closed for a year and a half due to Covid. Only just recently has the Navajo Nation opened up for tours! The drive up to Monument Valley from Camp Verde, AZ is about 3.5 hours. Yesterday we took a day trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. As most of you know, this is one of our most loved destinations. Our 1st mission of the day was to wish all of our friends and family a Happy Thanksgiving. All kidding aside, Carol and I are so grateful for our good health, that we love/have one another and the opportunities that have come our way. Sedona: Little Horse Trail & Shopping!

We spent yesterday in and around Sedona, AZ. Our first stop was the Little Horse Trail off Route 179 in Red Rock Canyon. This trail is part of Red Rock State Park just 5 minutes from the town area of Sedona. The Little Horse trail is a 4.3 mile out and back trail. The trail has a 564' elevation gain and is open to hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. We loved the hike and highly recommend the trail.
