This week we take you to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta! We thought we would present this for anyone that is considering attending this stunning event. The Fiesta takes place each year the first week of October in Albuquerque, New Mexico and lasts 9 days! Started in 1972 with just 13 balloons, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta has grown to be the largest balloon festival in the world. Badlands National Park & so much more!

We left Custer State Park and headed to Badlands National Park!  Wall DrugThis is a “fun” place to visit…everything from country western clothing to novelty items, food and an actual drug store! Devils Tower, Spearfish Canyon & More!

We departed Montana and started our trek East. We spent a week in Eastern Wyoming and Western South Dakota.Our first adventure, Devil’s Tower! Devils Tower was the first United States National Monument, established in 1906 by Theodore Roosevelt. This site was also featured in the movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind!  The Indians called the Devils Tower "Bear's Tipi" or "Bear Lodge," because so many bears lived there. Leaving Canada, Rainbow Trout and hiking the Highline Trail!

After an adventure filled month in the Canadian Rockies we headed South to Kalispell MT. On the way we stopped in Ft. Steele overnight and the next day visited the Kootenay Fish Hatchery and saw some amazing rainbow trout.While in Kalispell we got up at 5am and drove into Glacier National Park to hike the Highline Trail.
