We spent the day in Bryce Canyon riding eBikes, hiking and spent the evening at the Rodeo!  We rented eBikes from “Outta Here eBikes located on Route 12 about a mile from Bryce.  The rental process was easy and off we went!  The bikes were Rad Power eBikes.  They were “pedal assist” with 4 levels of assistance.  They were remarkably easy to ride and most of all FUN!  We rode through Red Canyon on the paved bike route.  A beautiful area.  We had rented the bikes for 8 hours but the seats were truly the hardest bike seats I have…

Hole in the Rock Overnight

Just outside of Escalante UT there is a road that is 58 miles long that makes it’s way to the Northwest side of Lake Powell; Hole in the Rock.  The road is a dirt road with the last 10 miles consisting of a true 4WD experience!  The trek took us past some amazing sights.  Chimney Rock, Dance Hall Rock and several slot canyon hikes….but our mission was to get to the end and see the famous “Hole in the Rock”.  Hole in the Rock is on the National Register of Historic Places.  In short, this was the passage of Mormon…

In 2014 Carol and I rafted 8 days and 277 miles of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon.  We fell in love with the Grand Canyon and the Southwest.  It sounds absurd, maybe, but the raft trip changed our lives.  It changed us because we now seek out adventure and we are not fearful! Hell’s Backbone Loop

Earlier this week we traveled to Escalante, Utah.  When we left Lake Powell the temperature was about 82 degrees, half way to Escalante the temperature dropped and we were engulfed in a snow storm!  36 degrees with snow thunder.  RVs were pulled off the road and there was about 3” of ice and slush.  We also pulled off the road, but decided to drive out of the mess.  Within 10 minutes we were back in sun and by the time we got to Escalante the temps were back at 80 degrees!
