The Stunning Alaska Highway! Dawson Creek to Liard Hot Springs!

This week we start our journey on the Alaska Highway through British Columbia as we travel from Dawson Creek to Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park. First Stop, Dawson Creek and the N.R.A. Station Museum at the Visitor Center, where we learned a lot about the AlCan highway. The Alaska highway, also known as the AlCan Highway, was built in response to Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941. Drive the Scenic Highway 97 to Dawson Creek: Stunning Waterfalls, Wildlife and Chainsaw Art!

This week we continue our trek heading north from McLure, BC to Dawson Creek, the start of the AlCan Highway…mile 0!First stop, Wells Gray Provincial Park with over 40 waterfalls. We went to four waterfalls and experienced more mosquitoes than we could have ever imagined 😳! We spent the entire day exploring waterfalls: Dawson, Helmcken, Spahats Creek and Third Canyon Waterfalls!Next, Quesnel, BC and we stayed at the Downtown RV Park right on the river….we then moved north with a stop at Crooked Creek Provincial Park…a really nice park on a lake…only issue more mosquitoes!We continued up Highway 97 with…

British Columbia! We’re on our way to Alaska!

This video we cross over into Canada at Osoyoos and our first stop Sonora Desert Winery (Harvest Host). What a find…Great wine and Teresa was wonderful…we will return, that’s for sure!
