Valdez: Little Switzerland of Alaska!

In this video we explore Valdez Alaska; Switzerland of Alaska! We watched the bears feed on salmon and toured the Solomon Gulch Hatchery, the largest single-species hatchery in North America! We also went on a wildlife/glacier tour on the Lu-Lu Belle to Columbia Glacier with sightings of whale, mountain goats, puffin and sea lions. At Columbia Glacier we piloted through an iceberg field to get up close to the glacier. Our next adventure: an epic canoe tour with Alaska-Guide Co. on a glacial lake created by the Valdez Glacier. Drive the Scenic Highway 97 to Dawson Creek: Stunning Waterfalls, Wildlife and Chainsaw Art!

This week we continue our trek heading north from McLure, BC to Dawson Creek, the start of the AlCan Highway…mile 0!First stop, Wells Gray Provincial Park with over 40 waterfalls. We went to four waterfalls and experienced more mosquitoes than we could have ever imagined 😳!
