Jekyll Island, GA

Today was one of those really special days, one to remember.   We are camping with our friends Gene and Don at Blythe Regional Park in Brunswick.  We ventured out today to explore Jekyll Island. Back on the road!

Today we left Richmond heading South to get our 2nd Covid shot in SC and then on to GA to meet up with BFFs from FL!  We packed up quickly between  rain and threats of snow showers.  Since we left quickly I unhooked water before I made my 2nd coffee...Carol said she would run into Dunkin Donuts to get my favorite drink, iced coffee!  Trailering an Airstream is not fun at “drive-up windows” that’s why Carol said she would run in.  I was parked alongside the road patiently waiting.  After what I thought was a long time, I finally saw…

Niagara Falls!

Today was 70 degrees in Buffalo!  We took advantage of the sun and temperatures to visit Niagara Falls.  Niagara Falls State Park is the oldest state park in the United States, established in 1885 as the Niagara Reservation.  Four of the five Great Lakes drain into the Niagara River before emptying in Lake Ontario!Several islands make up the state park, Goat Island, Three Sisters Island and Green IslandThere are three falls that can be seen from the park, American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls We toured the “Cave of the Winds” where you take an elevator to a walkway…

Hell Hole Canyon Hike

Since we are back in Virginia, I am filling in with some sights/activities from the last 6 months!  We took a hike in Hell Hole Canyon on 1/22/21.  The hike is in the Anzo-Borrego Desert State Park just a mile or two from the center of Borrego Springs.  The hike will take you to a waterfall in the rainy season, but it was reported that there was no water.  We always hike with more than enough water, but as you will see in the pictures, some don’t!!!  Not sure if this is real or just a warning!PS...Packing to move is…
