Exploring

While on Vancouver Island we visited Botanical Beach in a very remote part of Vancouver Island.  We hiked to the beach via the Botanical Beach Loop to the beach.  The hike was through a rain forest type of area with lots of roots along the trail making it a bit tricky to navigate.  Once at the beach we were so happy to see that the tide was still out and the magical tide pools were visible.  We saw the most amazing ocean creatures and such brilliant colors. Our first week on Vancouver Island was filled with exciting adventures!  We walked the city of Victoria and had a great time!  Next we met Gary and Michelle (friends from Borrego Springs) for a fun packed weekend on their boat.  We cruised to Tod Inlet and visited Butchart Gardens.  Enjoy the Video!Travel Update:We are exploring special parts of BC, many that we missed last year due to fires!    https://youtu.be/amr41aBHRCM

In this video we explore some of our favorite places in Bend, Oregon and explore the Painted Hills. Bend has a very youthful vibe and is the gateway to all types of outdoor activities for all seasons.  There is a vibrant downtown with the Deschutes River running through the city.  There is also the Old Mill District with trendy shops and restaurants.  We absolutely loved Bend and plan to return.From Bend we drove 90 miles to the Painted Hills, a geological wonder with stunning colors including wild flowers!  The Painted Hills has nature walks and viewpoints that make this a…
