3 Days in the Capitol Reef National Park Area!

We left Escalante, UT and one of our favorite campgrounds, Yonder Escalante. We headed up Highway 12 to Torrey, UT just outside of Capitol Reef National Park.  Our 1st night we stayed at a Harvest Host, Etta Place Cider.  Of course we had to do a tasting and what an interesting experience!  We tried a variety of hard ciders ranging from Rhubarb Peach Wine to Etta Place Gingered!  We also had Reserve Fig Mead a desert cider….We left with Rhubarb Peach and the Reserve Fig Mead!  See the link below:Etta Place CiderWe have been wanting to do some “real” boondocking on…

Twin Falls Idaho overnight

Milestone: 11 Months on the Road!  The adventure continues!When we left Heber City last Saturday, we spent the night in Twin Falls, Idaho at a Harvest Host Golf Course, Canyon Springs.  Twin Falls is located on the Snake River that  winds through a gorge right beside the town.  Canyon Springs Golf Course is adjacent to the Snake River in the gorge.  Our spot for the night was right next to the river!The town is called Twin Falls due to the two major waterfalls in town, Shoshone Falls and Perrine Coulee Falls.  There is also Dierkes Lake Park above the Shoshone…

Back on the Road!!!

We are back on the road after a grueling few weeks of boiling down your stationary world into a rolling world!  But, that is behind us, now the real journey is beginning.  We are now in NJ, dropping the Airstream off for a week of pampering and some minor warranty items.  While Airstream is being pampered, we are traveling to the Buffalo area for a family visit.  Let the adventures begin!!!! Wines of San Juan, NM (Harvest Hosts)

Arrived at Wines of San Juan a member of Harvest Hosts.  As we drove in were greeted by peacocks!  Once parked we hurried to have a wine tasting!  We settled on their 2014 Tribulation Reserve, a dry red; the grapes were grown on the property and produced on the property.   The vineyard is delightful with eclectic furnishings...we met one of the owners...it has been a super experience!   The vineyard is located in the San Juan River Valley and they have won international awards for wine making.  We flew the drone for some overhead pictures!  Tomorrow we are heading…
