We have decided to spend the next 9 days in the Sedona area. On Thursday we went on the Verde Canyon Train which explored the Verde River and remote canyon. The tracks were built early 20th century to haul copper from Jerome where one of the largest copper mines in the world was located. Milestone: 2 Months on the Road! While in Lake Powell we stayed at Wahweap Campground and this was one of our favorites. The sites are spread apart and staggered so the views were of the lake and buttes. We were able to get a tour of lower Antelope Canyon via kayak. (In 2016 we toured upper Antelope Canyon, we will include a couple pictures from that trip in the gallery, it is amazing). We are sitting overlooking Lake Powell and Page, AZ as this is the only place we both have enough cell service to update the website! We have been at Wahweap Campground on Lake Powell since Monday.We have continued to enjoy 4WD dirt roads of Paria Canyon where the colors were amazing and the Vermillion Cliffs area.
