Our travels move to North Central Oregon to Bend, OR…where we spent a day at Smith Rock State Park. This stunning state park has numerous hiking trails for all skill levels and the park is known for its superb rock climbing with over 1800 climbing routes! We have visited Font’s Point many times and it is always a stunning sight to see!Font’s Point is about 16 miles from Borrego Springs, CA. Once at the turn-off you travel on a sandy road where high clearance and/or 4WDs are recommended. Once at the parking area there is a short walk to the top of the point! This week we join our friends from Borrego Springs, CA for a captivating hike through Anza-Borrego State Park’s, The Slot!This is a stunning hike that loops through an amazing slot canyon that is only 2 feet wide in some spots. The hike is a 2.8 mile loop that is mostly flat with one steep incline of about 350’.
