We have read many reviews that City of Rocks State Park is a must see while in New Mexico.  To get to City of Rocks the drive is through typical desert land with a few rolling hills of desert.  We crested one of these hills and in the distance saw City of Rocks, sitting in the middle of a vast desert plain!  It was mesmerizing!We stayed 4 days at City of Rocks and loved it because each site is unique and very private from other RVs/campers.  Each site is nestled among the rocks that make up the state park.  There…

Metal Sculptures of Borrego Springs

Soon after we arrived in Borrego Springs we heard about the “sculptures”.  There are well over 100 life size or larger metal sculptures throughout the desert surrounding the town. Lost Dutchman State Park – Review

Milestone 11/22/20: 3 Months on our journey!When we left the Sedona area we were a bit down, because we loved being there so much, but then we hated leaving most everywhere we have been!  At Lost Dutchman we loved the campground/campsite (#27)!  The campsites are spread out so you are not looking onto another site and most sites have a clear view of the Superstition Mountains.  At our specific site we had a clear shot of the mountains and had cocktails every night to watch the spectacular changes during the sunset.  We also were dazzled by the wildlife!  We were…
