Niagara Falls!

Today was 70 degrees in Buffalo!  We took advantage of the sun and temperatures to visit Niagara Falls.

  • Niagara Falls State Park is the oldest state park in the United States, established in 1885 as the Niagara Reservation.
  • Four of the five Great Lakes drain into the Niagara River before emptying in Lake Ontario!
  • Several islands make up the state park, Goat Island, Three Sisters Island and Green Island
  • There are three falls that can be seen from the park, American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls

We toured the “Cave of the Winds” where you take an elevator to a walkway that is under the Bridal Veil Falls (due to ice only one section was open).

Today was a delightful day to ease back into touring our great country.
