What a day of fun! There is nothing like spending the day off the beaten path! We spent the day exploring Dixie National Forest on the edge of Bryce Canyon National Park on a UTV. We knew that there were ATV/UTV trails, but had no idea there is an entire road system with numbers and junctions….duh….makes sense. We traveled on the Paunsaugunt Plateau Trail System. We rented the UTV from Bryce Wildlife Outfitters and we highly recommend them; they were informative, supplied well marked maps and explained the area in detail.
Our first stop was Bristlecone Point. The term Bristlecone covers 3 species of of pine trees. The oldest Bristlecone is more that 4,800 years old, located in Inyo National Forest in California. This area was amazing…so beautiful…we spent a lot of time among the Bristlecone trees!
We then drove past a Prarie Dog Colony…then Tropic Reservoir and up to two 10k vistas that were breathtaking….in total we covered 38 miles and had such a fun day!
Travel update:
We are making our way to Mountain Valley RV Resort in Heber City, UT where we will be staying for 3 weeks via Capitol Reef National Park and Moab, UT. It is getting hot out here, reported that Moab will be over 100 while we are there….but it is a dry heat! 🤣

Thanks John… It was funny, when we go back the guy at the rental place used a leaf blower to blow off all the dirt on our clothes.

Loved this one! I would definitely do that, however coming up on a passing UTV on a narrow road in the dust, sure isn’t like passing cars on country roads in the UK!!😳
