While in Palm Springs we did a self driving tour at Palm Springs Windmill Tours. The tour starts at the Tour Center with exhibits and a video that showcase the history of the first Southern California wind farm established in 1982. After you explore the exhibits, you are on your way to see 10 marked stops with curated audio and an app! Also included are two stops close to active Wind Turbines that reach over 400 feet tall! Are you ready to become a wind energy hack? Palm Springs Windmill Tour: https://www.windmilltours.com
We highly recommend this tour!

Travel Update:
Today we are leaving the Palm Springs area and heading to one of our favorite places….Borrego Springs. We will be in Borrego through Christmas. We will then head closer to San Diego for a few weeks and then on to Death Valley, Mohave Desert and Joshua Tree. Mid-February we will be returning to Borrego Springs until Mid-March. As you know by now, we blow with the breeze so, all of the above is subject to change! 😂
Blown away, LOL… you find the neatest things to check out, have fun and thanks for the Card,
May you be blessed this Christmas and enjoy more of your travels .
Thanks for sharing” its a pleasure in the morning to see you guys on the posts out there in the world enjoying the sights

Thanks… It was fun. Happy Holidays!
Interesting! However, I’ll never forget driving to Canaan one day when I crested a hill and saw the huge blades of some windmills above me. Gave me the creeps! Felt like “the martians” were coming to get me! ha!
That is funny!
I hope you took the PS Aerial Tram! Really not to be missed🥰
Too cold right now…we are going back when the weather warms up!
Very cool, good pictures and info. Had no idea the amount of energy they produced. Remember when we passed a truck carrying one blade when we were on our CO trip. It was huge!! P We are going to have to visit this next time we are in PS.
It was very interesting. Then when you think of how many there are it really makes sense…
