Isle of Skye: Rain, Castles & Wild Landscapes!

Two days, epic landscapes, sheep, waterfalls, and a little rain—welcome to our Isle of Skye adventure!

Join us as we explore some of Skye’s most iconic spots, from Fairy Glen to Neist Point Lighthouse.

Fairy Glen – Cone-shaped hills, tiny ponds, and sheep that look like they own the place—pure Skye magic. Rha Falls – Powerful waterfalls tucked into a gorge… Scotland showing off a bit, as usual.

Skye Museum of Island Life – Step inside 19th-century blackhouses and see how Skye islanders survived rain, wind, and sheep. Uig Bay & Pier – A coastal stop where ferries still link Skye to the Outer Hebrides—history meets scenery.

Quiraing (Day 1 attempt) – We got rained out, but the epic cliffs and landslips teased us enough to make us come back.

Kilt Rock & Mealt Falls – Vertical basalt cliffs meet a waterfall plunging into the sea—Skye flexing its muscles.

An Leth-Allt Viewpoint & Lealt Falls – Towering cliffs, raging falls, and an old factory to explore… and yes, we got soaked again.

Portree Harbor – Rows of colorful buildings and bobbing fishing boats make this the picture-perfect end to Day One.

Old Man of Storr – Giant rock pinnacles, swirling clouds, and the legendary thumb of the old man—hike optional, awe mandatory. Quiraing (Day 2) – Hiking cliffs, plateaus, and dramatic formations—The Needle, The Prison, and sheep everywhere.

Dunvegan Castle – Oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland, but we just peeked from the road… still impressive!

Neist Point Lighthouse – Cliffs, crashing waves, and a lighthouse at the edge of the world—worth every scenic mile.
