From camping at James M. Robb Colorado River State Park to playing disc golf in Fruita and driving the breathtaking Rim Rock Drive, this area completely exceeded our expectations. We experienced dramatic red rock canyons, towering sandstone monoliths, incredible overlooks, wildlife sightings, and the fascinating Coke Ovens trail.
We also spotted bighorn sheep, learned the history of Independence Monument, and discovered why Colorado National Monument deserves a spot on every Southwest road trip itinerary.
