A day at a Wind Farm!

While in Palm Springs we did a self driving tour at Palm Springs Windmill Tours. The tour starts at the Tour Center with exhibits and a video that showcase the history of the first Southern California wind farm established in 1982. After you explore the exhibits, you are on your way to see 10 marked stops with curated audio and an app! Also included are two stops close to active Wind Turbines that reach over 400 feet tall! Monument Valley Tribal Park!

Since we left Richmond August of 2020, we have been to Monument Valley or close to it several times.  The tribal park has been closed for a year and a half due to Covid.  Only just recently has the Navajo Nation opened up for tours! The drive up to Monument Valley from Camp Verde, AZ is about 3.5 hours.  We left the campground at 6:30am and witnessed an unbelievable sunrise from the road.  Our route passed Sedona, Flagstaff and the road that leads to the Grand Canyon.  We made reservations at “The View, Cabins” that sit on Navajo Tribal Park…

A Message From the Grand Canyon!

Yesterday we took a day trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.  As most of you know, this is one of our most loved destinations. Our 1st mission of the day was to wish all of our friends and family a Happy Thanksgiving.  All kidding aside, Carol and I are so grateful for our good health, that we love/have one another and the opportunities that have come our way.  Our 2nd mission of this day trip was to go to the Grand Canyon Backcountry Office to submit our application to backpack/hike into the canyon in April.  This would be…

Noccalula Falls, AL

On the road again! We left Richmond on Wednesday after a month and a half stay.  Both of us were ready to head west to continue our adventures.  Our first stop was just outside of Knoxville TN at Dumplings Farm and RV Park, a nice park in the country!  The next day took us to Noccalula Falls Campground in Gadsden Alabama.  We had stayed here years ago when we had the Winnebago and were traveling to New Orleans.  The campground is ok for an overnight but needs some TLC.  The highlight is the falls and surrounding trails.Legend has it that Princess…
