Part One of Death Valley! We spent an adventure filled week in Death Valley! Death Valley National Park is the largest national park in the lower 48. Who knew there was so much to do and see! Death Valley is so diverse with snow capped mountains, desert dunes, painted landscapes, waterfalls and many canyons! The first two days we had high winds with gusts up to 50 mph! Yesterday we took a day trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. As most of you know, this is one of our most loved destinations. Our 1st mission of the day was to wish all of our friends and family a Happy Thanksgiving. All kidding aside, Carol and I are so grateful for our good health, that we love/have one another and the opportunities that have come our way. Lots of catch up! The SilverVagabonds arrived in Virginia last Sunday. We spent 2 days on the road with Susan & Atom but in St. Louis we parted after a month together! Welcome from Ridgway, CO! We are back in Colorado after a 2 day trip to Moab, UT to visit Arches National Park. We had an amazing two days of hiking to stunning arches and vistas. Arches National Park has more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches! The park is located 4 miles north of Moab and consists of 76,680 acres. While there the temperature was about 97 during the day.
