Yellowstone National Park, so majestic!

After Grand Teton National Park we returned to our Airstream for the night.  We then headed to Yellowstone National Park.  From our home base of Ashton, ID we had about an hour drive to Yellowstone.  Yellowstone was established as the world’s first national park in 1872!  This park influenced the creation of the National Park Service in 1916. Grand Teton National Park!

Three days in Grand Teton National Park did not disappoint!  Our drive from Ashton, ID was beautiful through lush green fields that took us to Teton Pass at an elevation of 8,432’ into Jackson Hole, WY.  After a short walk around the town we headed to the entrance of the national park.   Throughout our exploring we encountered all types of wildlife. Flaming Gorge Overnight

Every now and then we find a remote area that may be best explored without the Airstream.  This week we took an overnight side trip to Flaming Gorge on the Wyoming, Utah border.  From Heber City we drove West on I-80.  Our campground was on the Southwest side of Lake Flaming Gorge.   Several Antelope meandered through the campground, amazing!  Once set up we toured and explored to find Red Canyon and Flaming Gorge Dam.  This area is known for spectacular trout fishing…we were not prepared, I left all the fly fishing equipment at the Airstream; really dumb move. We…
