Today was 70 degrees in Buffalo! We took advantage of the sun and temperatures to visit Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls State Park is the oldest state park in the United States, established in 1885 as the Niagara Reservation. Paria, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument

In October while in the Lake Powell Area we explored the Paria (pronounced like Maria) River Road looking for the Paria Ghost Town located in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. We never found the “Ghost Town” that was abandoned in 1929. We were so surprised by the colors along this dirt road...they ranged from muted tan to vibrant orange and reds arranged in beautiful layers. Now that we are back in Richmond, with high speed internet, I was able to complete the Big Bend National Park video.We are now back in Richmond, taking care of details and packing for the sale of our condo. The Wind Caves are in the Carrizo Badlands on the far east side of the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. To access this area you travel on Fish Creek Road, a sand/rock passage about 4 miles. Wind caves are sandstone formations with wind-eroded pockets! There is a hike to the wind caves, one that is well hidden and it took a few hours to find it!
