We Played Disc Golf in the Mountains of New Mexico…Here’s What Happened!

In this episode of SilverVagabonds, we head from Texas to the mountains of New Mexico to experience two incredible disc golf destinations: Santa Fe and Angel Fire. Along the way we take the scenic backroads, explore historic Santa Fe, and then test our game at elevation on two beautiful mountain courses. Playing disc golf at over 7,000–8,000 feet brought new challenges, amazing views, and a lot of fun! Austin’s BIGGEST Disc Golf Tournament!

We left Borrego stopped in Tucson then headed to Texas for 3 reason.  Go to the Austin Open Disc Golf TournamentStore the Airstream and TruckFly out of Dallas to MadridWe have check off #1!  We attended the Austin Open with VIP Tickets so we could walk the fairways with the Pros!  A Disc Golf Tournament is very much like traditional golf tournament.  There is a gallery of spectators it is televised on the Disk Golf Network and there is a jumbo screen at hole 1 & 18.  We were camped in Austin and the Holyn Handley was in her 5th…

Cedar Breaks National Monument, Brian’s Head and a bit of Disc Golf!

In this video we are in South Western Utah and visit Cedar Breaks National Monument, Brian’s Head (an 11,000’ summit) and play a very special disc golf course!We start in Cedar Breaks National Monument.  Cedar Breaks is a spectacular natural area known for its striking red rock amphitheater which spans about 3 miles across and dips over 2,000’.  It is often described as a “mini Bryce Canyon”. This monument is located at an elevation of over 10,000’. We really enjoyed the fall colors including the whimsical Aspens!We then stumbled onto Brian’s Head overlook at 11,307’!  What a treat and the views…
